Single-focusing mass spectrometer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010897

A type of mass spectrometer that uses a single electric or magnetic sector to focus ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio. This design achieves velocity focusing, where ions of the same mass-to-charge ratio but different kinetic energies are brought to a common focal point. It provides moderate resolution for mass analysis.
