Specific burn-up

The amount of energy released per unit mass of nuclear fuel during its operation in a nuclear reactor. It quantifies the extent to which the nuclear fuel has been consumed or irradiated. This value is typically expressed in megawatt-days per metric ton of heavy metal (MWd/tHM).
