Spermatogonium
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011180
A diploid germ line stem cell located in the seminiferous tubules of the testes, capable of self-renewal and differentiation into primary spermatocytes. These cells serve as the foundational population for continuous sperm production throughout an adult male's reproductive life. They undergo mitotic divisions to maintain their population and produce cells that enter meiosis.
