Spleen

A lymphoid organ located in the upper left abdomen, responsible for filtering blood and playing a central role in the immune system. It removes old red blood cells, stores platelets, and produces lymphocytes and antibodies. The spleen is composed of red pulp, which filters blood, and white pulp, which contains immune cells.
