Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013255
A distinct anatomical region within the spleen, located at the interface between the red pulp and the white pulp. It contains specialized B lymphocytes and macrophages that are involved in the initial immune response to blood-borne antigens. This zone acts as a filter for the blood, trapping pathogens and presenting them to immune cells.
