Stereochemical non-rigidity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011368
The property of a molecule or molecular entity that undergoes rapid interconversion between different stereoisomeric forms without bond breaking. This dynamic behavior is often observed at room temperature and can involve conformational changes or fluxional processes. An example is the rapid inversion of pyramidal amines.
