Symmetrical flow field-flow fractionation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011725
A separation technique within the field-flow fractionation family where the channel geometry and flow profiles are symmetrical. This method separates macromolecules and particles based on their diffusion coefficients and hydrodynamic sizes under the influence of a perpendicular field. It is often employed for the characterization of polymers, proteins, and nanoparticles.
