Tertiary lymphoid tissue

Organized aggregates of lymphoid cells that form in non-lymphoid tissues at sites of chronic inflammation or infection. These structures resemble secondary lymphoid organs, containing T and B cell zones, and can support local immune responses. They are not present under normal physiological conditions but develop in response to persistent antigenic stimulation.
