Top-down patterning
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012108
A fabrication approach in which a bulk material is selectively removed or modified to create desired patterns and structures. This method typically involves lithographic techniques, such as photolithography, followed by etching or other material removal processes. It contrasts with bottom-up approaches where structures are built atom by atom or molecule by molecule.
