Top-down ecotoxicological study
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012107
An investigation that begins by examining the effects of a toxic substance at a higher level of biological organization, such as a community or ecosystem. This approach then attempts to deduce the underlying mechanisms or impacts on individual organisms. Such studies often involve observing changes in population dynamics or ecosystem function.
