Transamidation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012197

A chemical reaction in which an amide group reacts with an amine to form a new amide and release a different amine. This process involves the exchange of the amine component of an amide. Transamidation is a type of acyl substitution reaction and can be used in polymer synthesis or modification.
