Tremor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012280

An involuntary, rhythmic, and oscillatory movement of a body part, such as the hands, head, or limbs, resulting from alternating or synchronous contractions of opposing muscle groups. Tremors are classified based on their occurrence, such as resting tremor, which appears in a body part at rest, or action tremor, which occurs during voluntary movement. The frequency of physiological tremor is typically in the range of 8 to 12 Hz.
