type-J coil planet centrifuge
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012387
A specific design of a high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) instrument where the column coils are wound around a central axis that rotates, while the column itself also revolves around a planetary axis. This configuration generates a strong centrifugal force field that stabilizes the two immiscible liquid phases within the column. It is particularly effective for preparative separations of natural products and pharmaceuticals.
