Vasopressin

A peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus and released by the posterior pituitary gland, primarily known for its antidiuretic effects. It regulates the body's water balance by increasing water reabsorption in the kidneys, thereby concentrating urine and reducing its volume. This hormone also acts as a vasoconstrictor, influencing blood pressure.
