Vibrational term value

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012569

A quantity representing the energy of a specific vibrational state of a molecule, expressed in units of wavenumber. It is derived from the total energy of the vibrational state by subtracting the electronic and rotational energies. This value is typically given in reciprocal centimeters (cm⁻¹) and is used in spectroscopic analysis to characterize molecular vibrations.
