Vibrational term
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013691
A component of the total energy of a molecule that corresponds to its vibrational motion. It is expressed as a specific energy level within the molecule's electronic state, determined by quantum numbers. The vibrational term is typically represented by G(v) in spectroscopic analyses, where v is the vibrational quantum number.
