Warm autoantibody type
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012638
A classification of autoantibodies that react optimally with antigens at body temperature (approximately 37 °C). These antibodies are often implicated in autoimmune hemolytic anemia, where they bind to antigens on the surface of red blood cells, leading to their destruction. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is the most common type of warm autoantibody.
