Cold autoantibody type
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002198
An autoantibody that reacts optimally with its target antigen at temperatures below 37 °C, often between 0 and 4 °C. These antibodies are directed against self-antigens, frequently on red blood cells, and can cause autoimmune hemolytic anemia. They are classified based on their thermal amplitude and specificity.
