Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001187
A technology for constructing integrated circuits, Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) fabrication uses both P-channel and N-channel transistors together on a single substrate. This design results in very low static power dissipation because one transistor of the pair is always off during steady-state operation. CMOS technology is the dominant fabrication process for modern digital logic circuits, including microprocessors, microcontrollers, and static RAM.
