Capillary conductivity

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004139

The ability of a porous medium, such as soil, to transmit water under the influence of capillary forces. This property is a measure of how readily water moves through small pores due to surface tension and adhesive forces between water and the pore walls. It is expressed in units of length per time, similar to hydraulic conductivity.
