Grid turbulence
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006076
Turbulence generated by passing a fluid flow through a grid or screen, often used in laboratory experiments to study turbulent flows under controlled conditions. The grid creates a field of nearly homogeneous and isotropic turbulence downstream. This type of turbulence is characterized by a specific decay rate and length scale.
