Grid length
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006072
The spatial resolution or distance between adjacent grid points in a numerical model of the atmosphere or ocean. A smaller grid length allows for the representation of finer-scale atmospheric processes, but it also increases computational cost. This parameter is a fundamental characteristic of any gridded model.
