Methylvinyl ketone

An unsaturated ketone that is a product of the atmospheric oxidation of isoprene, a volatile organic compound emitted by vegetation. It is a reactive species that contributes to the formation of tropospheric ozone and secondary organic aerosols. Methylvinyl ketone has a relatively short atmospheric lifetime due to its reactivity.
