Nondeterministic
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007571
Describing a system or process whose future state cannot be precisely predicted from its current state, even with complete knowledge of the governing equations. Atmospheric processes often exhibit nondeterministic behavior due to their inherent complexity and sensitivity to initial conditions. Numerical weather prediction models attempt to simulate these systems, but always contain some level of uncertainty.
