Direct emulsifier

A chemical additive that promotes the formation of an oil-in-water emulsion, where oil droplets are dispersed within a continuous water phase. These emulsifiers are used in water-based drilling fluids to incorporate small amounts of oil for lubricity or filtration control. They stabilize the interface between the oil and water phases.
