Oil-mud emulsifier

A chemical additive used to stabilize the emulsion in oil-based drilling fluids, preventing the separation of the oil and water phases. These agents typically have both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties, allowing them to reduce interfacial tension. Common types include fatty acid soaps and polyaminated fatty acids.
