Displacement front

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001122

The moving interface between the injected fluid and the reservoir fluid during an enhanced oil recovery process. This front represents the boundary where the displacing fluid pushes the displaced fluid, such as oil, through the porous medium. The stability and shape of this front directly influence the sweep efficiency and the amount of oil recovered.
