Mica

A group of sheet silicate minerals characterized by their perfect basal cleavage, allowing them to split into thin, flexible sheets. Micas are common in igneous, metamorphic, and some sedimentary rocks. Muscovite and biotite are common varieties, often found as accessory minerals in shales and sandstones.
