Wide-azimuth towed-streamer acquisition
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004159
A marine seismic data acquisition method that employs multiple source vessels and receiver streamers spread over a broad area to record seismic data from many different azimuths. This technique provides improved illumination of complex subsurface structures and reduces acquisition footprints. It is particularly effective in areas with salt domes or highly fractured reservoirs.
