Bathtub curve
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000039
A graphical representation of a product's failure rate over its operational lifetime, which has three distinct phases. The curve begins with a high but decreasing rate of infant mortality failures, followed by a low, constant rate of random failures during its useful life. The final phase shows an increasing failure rate as the product enters its wear-out period due to aging and material degradation.
