Activated adsorption process
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000169
A type of chemisorption where the rate of adsorption increases with temperature, indicating the presence of an energy barrier that must be overcome for the process to occur. This barrier is known as the activation energy of adsorption. The rate of this process varies exponentially with temperature according to the Arrhenius equation.
