Acyl shift

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000216

A type of intramolecular rearrangement reaction where an acyl group migrates from one atom to another within the same molecule. This migration often occurs in the presence of a suitable leaving group or under photochemical conditions. Such rearrangements can lead to changes in molecular connectivity and the formation of new isomers.
