Β-blocker

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001151

A class of pharmaceutical agents that antagonize the effects of catecholamines by blocking β-adrenergic receptors. These drugs are commonly used to treat conditions such as hypertension, angina pectoris, and cardiac arrhythmias. They reduce heart rate and blood pressure by inhibiting the binding of adrenaline and noradrenaline to these receptors.
