Cell membrane preparation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012957

A biological sample enriched in cellular membranes, obtained by disrupting cells and separating the membrane components from other cellular organelles and cytosolic fractions. This preparation retains the native conformation and function of membrane-bound proteins, including receptors and transporters. It is frequently used in biochemical assays to study ligand binding, enzyme activity, and drug-receptor interactions.
