Cycloelimination
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002822
A chemical reaction that is the reverse of a cycloaddition, where a cyclic molecule breaks down into two or more smaller, unsaturated molecules. This process involves the cleavage of sigma bonds and the formation of new pi bonds. Cycloreversion reactions are often thermally or photochemically induced.
