Denuder system
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003008
An analytical sampling device used to separate gaseous atmospheric components from particulate matter. It operates by passing an air sample through a tube coated with a substance that selectively absorbs or reacts with the gas phase, allowing particles to pass through. This separation prevents artifacts in aerosol measurements caused by gas-particle interconversion.
