Disruptor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003319

A chemical species that interferes with the ordered arrangement of mesogenic units in a liquid crystalline polymer, thereby reducing its liquid crystalline properties. These molecules can be incorporated into the polymer backbone or side chains. They are used to tailor the thermal and rheological behavior of liquid crystal polymers.
