Enzymic decomposition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004006
The process of breaking down complex substances into simpler components through the action of enzymes. This biological degradation is highly specific, with each enzyme typically catalyzing a particular type of reaction. It is a fundamental process in biological systems for nutrient acquisition and waste management.
