Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004135
Induction of one particular tissue in a developing embryo brought about by a lone chemical agent, such as a hormone, termed the evocator. It is a form of embryonic induction in which the inducing agent is a defined substance and the responding tissue must be competent to react. It is distinct from induction by a neighbouring tissue, such as the organizer region of an embryo.
