Fc fragment
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004360
The crystallizable fragment of an immunoglobulin molecule, located at the C-terminal end of the heavy chains. This region is responsible for mediating effector functions, such as binding to Fc receptors on immune cells and activating the complement system. It does not contain the antigen-binding sites.
