Fetoscopy

A minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedure that involves inserting a thin, fiber-optic endoscope into the uterus to visualize the fetus and amniotic cavity. This technique allows for direct observation of fetal anatomy, collection of tissue samples, and performance of certain surgical interventions while the fetus is still in utero. It is typically performed for specific indications, such as diagnosing genetic disorders or treating twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
