Foci

Localized areas of cellular alteration or damage within a tissue or organ, often observed microscopically. These regions can represent sites of inflammation, necrosis, or abnormal cell proliferation. In toxicology, the presence and characteristics of these areas are used to assess the effects of exposure to chemical agents.
