Homojunction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005373
An interface formed between two regions of the same semiconductor material, but with different doping concentrations or types (e.g., p-type and n-type). This interface creates a built-in electric field that facilitates charge separation and transport. Silicon p-n junctions are a classic example of a homojunction.
