Laser micro emission spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006462
An analytical technique that uses a focused laser beam to ablate a small region of a sample, generating a plasma from which atomic emission occurs. The emitted light, characteristic of the elements present, is then spectrally analyzed to determine the elemental composition of the micro-region. This method provides spatially resolved elemental analysis.
