Microfiltration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007327

A membrane separation process that uses a porous membrane to remove suspended particles, bacteria, and large colloids from a fluid. The pores of the microfiltration membrane are larger than those used in ultrafiltration or nanofiltration. Microfiltration membranes have pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 10 micrometers.
