Molar decadic absorption coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007468

A measure of how strongly a chemical species absorbs light at a particular wavelength, normalized by its molar concentration and the path length of the light through the sample. This coefficient is used in the Beer-Lambert law for quantitative analysis. It is expressed in L mol⁻¹ cm⁻¹.
