Moving belt interface

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007606

A device used to transfer analytes from a liquid chromatograph to a mass spectrometer by depositing the effluent onto a moving belt. The solvent is evaporated, and the analytes are then desorbed and introduced into the mass spectrometer's ion source. This interface is suitable for both volatile and non-volatile compounds.
