Putamen

A large, round structure located at the base of the forebrain, forming part of the basal ganglia. It is involved in regulating motor control, learning, and reward processing. The putamen receives input from the cerebral cortex and projects to other basal ganglia nuclei, influencing movement initiation and execution.
