Semicoke
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010722
A solid carbonaceous residue obtained from the low-temperature carbonization of coal or other carbon-rich materials. It is characterized by a higher volatile matter content and lower mechanical strength compared to high-temperature coke. Semicoke is often used as a reducing agent or fuel in industrial processes.
