Transformed cell

A cell that has undergone stable genetic changes, leading to alterations in its growth characteristics and behavior, often resembling cancerous cells. These changes can include uncontrolled proliferation, loss of contact inhibition, and altered morphology. Such cells are frequently used in research as models for studying cancer development and progression.
